This is happening coz . . . . . Take a look in the other editor - the one that shows the length of the note. If u have programmed them in using the drum editor the note is only a fraction long. This means that only a fraction of the sample is triggered from the sampler. To hear the whole note strech out the lines in the default editor and ta da you will hear the whole of the sample. The drum editor is no good for lengthy samples (or anything AFAIK)- I always program beats in the default editor and zoom right in. Now you can control the length of the hit as well as the exact positioning. Change snap to grid to 32 or 64 and use that <> tool from the toolbar to push hits into place. Hope that makes sense.
