$100 is a bargain in my book to save 5000 and 15yrs searching for obscure vinyl

I have a better bargain - how about a half hour on the internet to download all of those (don't tell me you cant find them online-if theres not already a good page up Ill start one).  And if you want them on vinyl, try the HIP HOP collection Ultimate Beats and Breaks, which was cataloging those things years before.  My quarrel wasnt with peeps who want those breaks cheap- The heart of my post was the way sample cd companies charge you for material that is so blatantly and unashamedly clipped, then tell you that even lending your cd to someone else violates their creative (!) rights and is cause for legal action.

PS part of what colored my opinion about their availability was that I thought at this stage of the game those breaks were pretty played out and thus useless.  Personally I'd rather make whole new breaks rather than try and make an overused one sound fresh- although people do of course pull it off.  In any case, It would be fun to start a "DNB essentials" page, with classic breaks and maybe a few classic synths and bass sounds- Ill start it up if anyone lets me know theyll actually GO there...
