Hello,
I am very new to
production. I have only messed around on my friend's set-up which consists
of a PC & Acid. I am NOT happy with anything that comes out of this
set-up. I am wanting to start my own modest home set-up & I was
wondering what would be a solid start-up kit. I was thinking about a Mac,
Cubase & all the samples I can get. Questions still remain. How
do I get sub-bass sounds? And furthermore, how do I manipulate them?
Also, as far as samplers go, which is the best sampler? & why do you
even need a sampler? Can't you use your computer as a sampler? What
are the major differences between using a proper sampler & your
computer. I have many more questions, but these are the principal
questions which weigh on me as I near dropping tons of money on a set-up.
