Sounds like you need pretty much any parametric EQ...  What sequencer
are you using?

oh right! can you suggest any other eq plug ins that do the same sort of
functions then? i was reading something that said it could split a
signal onto seperate channels, so you could treat the bass, mid and high
for instance differently within the sequencer...
