On my last 3 tunes (Firemin, Movement and Iron Curtain) it's been all audio,..using Reason to make my loops, wavelab to beef the loops up a bit, and then into Logic for sequencing and then mastering the track in wavelab.  The only gear I have right now are my Mackie HR824's and the newer Layla.
Everything before that was done with an e5000 ultra, Mackie 24x8, AN1X, Pro one and some rack mount compressors and FX..
