There are some Syslog Analysis tools out there. Basically what they do is
take the garbage and make it look presentable. Usually they are fucking
expensive. If you can "find" it, i would definetly do it because i am a
network engineer and i have alot of trouble going through raw logs. In any
case i'll take look at calamari and give you an opinion.

Trk.

Subject: [dnb-prod] OT: Translating Web logs?

Anyone know how to translate Mozilla server logs into something meaningful?

I've got the logs for the server that's hosting my web page but the only way
I can get any info from them is by searching for my directory name, noting
the IP addresses that have downloaded it and then trying to work out who
they are and where they come from... (which I'm not about to do!)..

Someone told me about a program called calamari that works for Squid
servers... Anyone know if it'll work with Mozilla too?
Anyone know where I can get it?

cheers,

Nick..

p.s. I'm just interested in knowing how many people look at it etc... I'm
not planning some kind of intensive marketing scheme or anything !!!
