But i have a question.!
How do i get multiple filters in the same presets?
I'm using it in multi and assigning one filter to each preset. Can someone
shed some light
There's two ways. You can assign a filter to single samples and/or you can group samples together and have the one filter assigned to a whole group of samples. First up hit preset edit and this will bring you to Voices-Main screen so you can see all yer samples listed within the preset.
To assign a filter to a single voice ( sample ) move the cursor over the selected voice ( V1, V2 etc ) number on the left of the preset edit screen which corresponds to the sample you wish to assign a filter to for example "V1 G1 S001 Jungle snare". Then once selected press F6 "EDITVce", then F3 Amp/Filt, scroll thru to the filters section and then assign a filter to the voice, set the frequency and Q that you want and then setup a controller via the cords to control filter freq. When I do this I assign the data entry slider to controller 12. You will need to setup your MIDI controllers on the midi controllers page to do this ( Press Master>MIDI>Controls 2 then set MIDI A to 12 ) Then in the cords section set MIDI A to control filter frequency 100%. You can then do some nice filter sweeps and stuff by using the controller.
One word of warning, make sure you got a good head on when you setup filters and cords for individual samples/voices, it can get messy quickly.
If you want to assign the same filter to multiple samples, set the samples you want the filter assigned to by making them the same GROUP number for example...just do this by moving the cursor over the group number then use the jog dial to change it.
V1 G1 S001 Jungle snare.
V2 G1 S002 Big fuckoff snare.
V3 G1 S003 Wimpy garage snare.
then put your cursor over any one of the group numbers ( on any one of the samples within the group you wish to edit ) the you will see F6 has now changed to "EDIT Grp", hit that and assign a filter for that GROUP of samples. Then setup the controllers in the CORDS section to control the filter frequency as I described above. Its worth noting that you can change any of the samples with the preset very quickly by moving the cursor over the sample name then using the jog dial to scroll thru samples this way you can try out new samples with established filter and keygroup settings.
Easy,
Will
