actually reaktor is an effect. It will come up in your vst effects if installed properly, one of the many great features of reaktor is that you can design some great effects if need be and use them in logic/cubas etc. My guess is that he didn't install the dll properly when running setup, or to the right folder, like ya said. good luck! =P
