anyone got a behringer dsp-8024 ultra curve pro stereo eq? it looks tasty:
http://www.behringer.com/02_products/prodindex.cfm?id=DSP8024&lang=eng
it's even got a real-time analyzer, a fully automated thing that will test
out the frequency response of whatever's going into its mic input and adjust
the eq to get a flat response (you hafta go out and buy their "ultra-flat
microphone" which is <$50, not bad, doing the whole "sitting there with the
radio shack digital spl meter, playing 31 tones, plotting them on a graph
and then adjusting accordingly" for you, even though i'd go back and check
anyway), and it's got i think 3 bands of parametric eq, a noise gate and a
feedback destroyer... oh, and it's midi controllable and comes with an
editor for the pc. optional aes/ebu in/out as well. i just need someone to
say "yeah, it's as good as the specs say" so i can save up the $500
necessary for the 8024, the mic, and the digital options. this sounds like
a great way to get even closer to completely flat monitors, since any kind
of monitors are gonna get screwed to hell and back cause of your room
anyway... anyone out there?
