Youll be wanting to get your hands on an ECS DeskNote (i-Buddie XP). The RAM and CPU are upgradable with standard PC items, which is almost unheard of for a laptop, and it has s-video, Firewire, USB 2 + heaps of other good shit. It also takes pretty much any AMD CPU.

Subject: [dnb-prod] Laptop Solution

Ok, I know this might be slightly off topic, but i'm gearing up to start doing some live stuff with a live drummer. I need to get a good mobile setup going. And also need to sell some gear to finance a new laptop. I've been looking at the G4 titaniums, and they are really nice, but i'm such a PC freak that I am having a really hard time getting my head around the high price. I can get a great Dell insprion P4 2 gig for almost half of what the G4's are going for. Have any of you had live experience with a G4? I don't want to start a Mac vs. PC war here cuz I know they are both great solutions. Any info would be great. Thanks
