All Emu's uses a proprietary file format....so any media you have hooked up to it...zip disk, cd rom, etc. needs be in that fomat. Translation: Your EMU will only read actual EMU format CD-ROMs, not just any CD you toss in there. This sucks big time and is probably the single most annoying thing about owning and EMU.
What you will need to do is load up samples you want to you onto your computer, and tranfer them via SCSI with a program like soundforge, wavelab, recycle, etc. trust -----Original Message----- From: Longarzo, Michael [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Sunday, July 07, 2002 12:22 AM To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] emu e5000 and loading samples from cd rom I'm trying to load samples into my emu from an external CD drive. I've never used the drive before and its probably old, but it works. When I put a disc in with digital audio data, the emu doesn't seem to recognize it's there. The only thing I can think of is that the cd drive can't recognize the data on the discs. anybody got any ideas that could help me? mik --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
