Nice 1 mate.. I knew it'd be something simple!

I'm sure it covers all that stuff in the manual?! But I haven't even had enough time to take a dump recently, let alone Get on the PC!    8(

I'll have to get on it tonight I reckon.. Damn You STEINBERG! YOU WILL NOT BEAT MEEEEEEE! !! !

cheers,

Nick

1&2. use ctrl left click and alt left click to set start and end loop markers - works in project window and piano roll view

3. if you change the format of display in the Transport panel (or project preferences) then it is applied globally, to rulers as well.........you can change the display in the rulers independently of the transport by clicking the pull down arrow on the right of each ruler and selecting what ya like....

Is it just my imagination (or my copy of SX!), but have Steinberg taken out nearly ALL the mouse shortcuts I used to use in 5.1?

For example:

1. I tried to change the left and right loop markers on the transport bar using the mouse.. (ie. .click the left button to move the loop 1 bar left and the right button to move it right etc..). and it no longer works.. You can only type the position in manually.
2. I couldn't set a loop in the midi editor screen at all..
3. I couldn't work out how to change the timescale on the ruler from bars to time and vice versa.. (used to be able to click the position box above the editing panel).

There were loads of other things I noticed in the short time I played with it.. I just want to make sure it's not my dodgy copy that's at fault?!
If it's just a case of learning how to do it in 6 then I guess I'll find out when I read the manual!!

cheers,

Nick

p.s. Oh yeah, and what's with the new mixer design?? It's farkin' horrible!! I think I'd prefer the new functionality with a 5.1 style front end!
