Because I refuse to admit that I shouldn't have bought them and because I
keep telling myself I'm going to open them up and solder the wires directly
to the speakers (but I guess I'm kind of lazy). :-/

Bah... I'm used to crackling... sometimes it's the phones, sometimes the
prophecy or the alpha juno... sometimes the speaker-switch... Major
disadvantage of doing things the 'old'/'hardware route' way...
