If it was c7 i.e. C, E, G, Bb (not c minor 7), in traditional harmony
you might say that it would want to resolve to an f major as c7 is the
dominant chord of the f key. In dnb all these rules usually go out the
window.

hmm.. you're right. but, isn't that kind of thing supposed to create
some
kind of "tension" that makes it want to resolve back to C? sort of like
resolving a sus4 chord to a normal major chord, if you know what i mean.
