Sup list I'm having a problem mixing a tune I'm working on. At about half through the song when all the vst's / effects / etc are running a slight crackling / distorted sound creeps in.
I'm not sure what exactly the problem is. Is my pc taking strain (14 vst instruments, loads of effects, cpu meter at 50%) or is the mix screwed? One thing I have picked up is that all the channels are close to maxing out. What's the best practice when it comes to mixing?
