Hi folks, this is a bit of a general questino that I hoe someone will be able to help me with. I am new to this producing lark, and to date have made only 3 tracks using nothnig but Fruityloops, Cool Edit Pro and samples.
I have aquired a copy of Cubase 5, and can access any wave editor programs such as SuondForge or Cool Edit Pro etc. What I would like to know is what the steps are to make a track from start to finish. I constantly hear great tracks by well known producers and want to produce similar sounding tracks. The amen break is widely used, but do peole create their own versions of this by sampling the stabdard Amen Break and fiddling aroudn with a .WAV file of this? So many questions, so many peole to answer this.. I just want to know how to get started with a software-only setup.... Can anyone lend some assistance.. Including with how to use Cubase - it seems a bit daunting... Thanks in advance!
