Yes, it is possible to load sr202 in twice as too different instruments, that would operate seperately. You'd then load the same samples into each and fiddle...

What turbo is saying, is that you can alter the velocity, panning etc. of each drum hit (change these setting in ur host sequencer. ie. Cubase, key editor, draw in velocity/pan into the controller lane) Also, some drum samplers change the filtering on ur drum hit, depending on the velocity for that note/hit. So the higher the velocity, the more the filter opens...

There's also the subject of velocity switching and layering in more complicated drum machines where the velocity determines which layer is played...
