Layer them with 808 kick drums, pitch them down and adjust the ADSR envelope (mainly
lower the attack a little) until they sit together on the same key - bigger drums

Subject: [dnb-prod] bass drums

sorry if this has been covered before but i was wondering how to process
bass drums to give them more depth and power. Ive heard that using reverb
followed by a gate has this kind of effect but it always sounds pants when i
try it. maybe i do something wrong. Ive also tried heavy compression but
ive still not been satisfied with the result. maybe i just need better
origional drum samples?

has anyone got any brief hints or tips? They would be greatly appreciated!
