Thanks a bunch man, i thought it just didn't work. Since you said it works i tried and on the 3rd try i got it. The problem was that i was hitting the W on the mixer track or the track layout and that doesn't record the vst parameters i'm changing on the filter. When i click on the W on the vst effect windows itself, it records perfectly, guess i gave up too easy before.
i'm so happy now!

1. On either the mixer channel strip, the arrange window track list, or the arrange window channel box, press the boxed W on the channel you wish to record change on. 2. Press play, and widdle around on the track as you want. 3. Press the boxed R next to the boxed W, and your automation will play back. 4.
