Title: RE: [dnb-prod] 2nd Hard Drive Formatting

it should detect automatically.  You have to set it to slave.  Once pc detects it you will see the drive available in ( my computer ).  Right click on the drive and select formatt.  The best formatt to use would be NTSF.

That should get you going.

:)

Subject: [dnb-prod] 2nd Hard Drive Formatting

Hi,

Been lurking...
But,
I bought a new Maxtor 60gig HD IDE today to add to my PC as a second drive for audio only.

Couple of questions.
Once the HD is physically attached to the cables, power and screwed into the drive bay does the PC detect it as it does my sampler and ZIP as soon as you turn it on?

Do i set it to slave?
Once its detected, how do i format it for use by the PC?
What format is best (if it makes any difference)? FAT32, partitioning, UDMA etc - dunno about this stuff...

Am i missing anything out? I just want it to work ;-)

Thanks for the help,

Dan
