[dnb-prod] Those amazing b-lines

Hi.
 
Just wondered if anyone knows how to create those amazing bass-lines I'm hearing in some of the latest tunes.  Examples are 'Generation X' by Aquasky and some of John B's new tunes.  For those of you who don't know what ones I mean, I can best describe them as sounding 'like Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd) playing his sliding guitar with analogue sub-bass sound instead of guitar sound'.
 
If anyone knows what I'm on about and can enlighten me I'd appreciate it!  After spending hours working on it, I recently discovered how to filter-sweep those analogue sub-bass lines and the result is perfect, but try as I might I can't seem to get this new sound.
