Yo Dan, I had one of those desknote systems and used it for a while with a band i started. I was using it for firewire with my motu 828. Problem was that there seemed to be problems withe the firewire port on em. I would get noise all the time, and it would end up in my recordings as well. Best to stay away from these for music, cheap motherboards I guess.
