I have an audiophile 2496 too but i don't have this problem with reason or
logic...

if you've altered your preferences within the program so that the latency is
as low as it can go i'm not sure what the trouble could be. Probably
something really obvious... that's usually the way that tends to work... i
can't tell you how many times i've been frustrated as hell about something
and then when i find out it could have been fixed ages ago if i'd just paid
a little more attention, i have to take a break for about 10 minutes to
smack myself in the face properly. ;)

what program(s) are you using?
