get the UAD and mastering plugins for it. the compressor is fucking awesome. 
make sure you've got a good ADAT soundcard to compliment the D8B and some 
good monitors. Make sure you buy the VDU for it as it makes editing a breeze 
and you'll kick yourself for not getting it.

I have decided I am going to buy the Mackie d8b. So many plug-ins and 
expansion boards though to choose from! What do peeps suggest I buy extra 
as I am not sure I trust shops and sales men. Just want to make sure I do 
not miss out on anything.
