EZ Andy.  Plug ins seem to rely more on memory than processor speed (though both help).  If you're running that many soft synths I'd say upgrade your memory (you can pick up memory really cheap on ebay).  I've been running with 512Meg memory, which I've still found limiting, so I've just bought a few more chips (1.25Gig).  I'll let you know how that goes... -----Original Message----- From: ANDYGEEZERBLOKE [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 28 May 2003 15:38 To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] VST PERFORMANCE Howdy, im running a pentium 3 1gz processor,win 98, 256 mb ram and using cubase 5.1  Now i find that when im working on a tune with 8 Vst instruments loaded and fx'd up that my vst performance meter kreeps up to that dodgy 70% area and may shoot up 2 it suddenly if im seriously tweaking something or other, for example it just happend whilst messing with the sr 202's resonance filter,..up2 70% crackle ,pop and froze!
