I ussually only start using compression on basslines when it goes out of control volumewise (too dynamic). When you're like having this whawha effect on a bassline, the volume varies a lot and the silent parts of the b-line can become unheard in the mix. Then I use compression to get the whawha under control and get a more egal sounding b- line.
The Wav plugins have nice compressors imho (C1 comp or smt?), but now I'm mainly using the ones supplied with Buzz. ------------------------ On 29 Jul 2003 at 17:30, Tim Cant wrote: > I was just thinking about making dirty basses suign compressions - what's > the deal, do you use the comp to make the filteres out high bits as loud as > the low end bass boom?
