Hi everyone,

I'm new to this list as I want to start making some DnB. I work a lot with
programs like Nuendo and Logic for recording. In the past I tried to do some
sequencing using trackers and sequencers of all sorts, but I never got familiar
enough with the interfaces to be able to make the stuff I want without getting
frustrated with limitations or other dislikes.

Since I know sequencers pretty well I'm just wondering if the MIDI interface
of programs like Logic and Cubase are suitable to be an all-in-one environment
for producing DnB. I tried to use Reason for that but I just get annoyed
and dizzy because of the user interface. I also want to be able to record
stuff and use VST/VSTi.

Then I thought: maybe it's a good idea to use Reason in combination with
Cubase using Rewire. But what's the point of using Reason at all if you can
use synth/sampler/drumcomputer VSTi directly plugged into a sequencer like
Cubase?

I'd like to know if there are people producing DnB using just a sequencer
with VST/VSTi, and if not, why?

Thanx a lot.

Cheers T
