I feeel you on that . All though I do not use Rewire at all. I do fire up fruity loops and use VSTi's... I LOVE crystal VSTi. Crystal plus some good vst reverb, fruity delay, fruity phaser... That is some goos stuff!

With Subtractor and Malstrom I can get a variety of sounds that keeps me
happy.
Occasionally I'll use a VST for some real lush pads but I hardly go outside
