I dont know how many tracks you use but for me I typically use anywhere from 40 to 60 different tracks.  so exporting a shit load of waves is out of the question for me.

In acid 4 I bus the highs, lows, and everything else...

once I get everything bussed I then assign  eq, compression, exc...
