Jan,
That was HOT! I loved the gated pad sound. The bassline had a lot of vibe to it. Also the intro beat was great but, I would try a more simple beat for the into. I think that would make is a bit more DJ "friendly". I hope that helps a bit. Hit me up at [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> . I would love a copy of this when it hits wax.

Cheers! I've gotten mixed reactions on the beat in the intro, I kind of like to think that most DJs would be able to mix in using that beat as well... but I am considering adding another 2*16 bars at the beginning with the simpler beat pattern actually.

I'll let you all know if this piece will hit wax, I am about to send out CDs to some places. ;)

Jan, very solid production. the only thing i could critique it for is that i'd like to hear some good mid-hi range rythmic work going on. (for instance, check out Kemal - Mechanizm) ... though that is a matter of style/taste really.

care to tell us a little bit about your production setup? software? hardware?

keep posting 'em!

Thanks! I'll see if I will add some more arps or tings after the second drop, might add to the midrange a bit - though I think you meant congas and stuff like that?

About my production, it really is mostly software these days, even if I use the Waldorf microQ, Lexicon reverb and Roland XP-30 at times. (The gated pad sound is sampled originally from the XP-30 for instance.) I use FL Studio 4 (plus a lot of plugins ;) for my sequencing and do my sound tweaking in SoundForge. My monitors are very helpful in the mixdown process as well (Event Tria system - two satellites and a subwoofer going down to 30 Hz).

changed names again ey :)

good tune,
really good tune production wise, makes me think of tunes by sinthetix

can't really find any critque that isn't subjective, so I'll just say I'd like the tune to be more extreme, harder, faster, yeah!!! ;) *insert DOA slayer smiley here*

Ez Jurgen :)

Yes, I'm using Materia as the alias for my neurofunk/tech dancefloor excursions, and Hidden Lab for the atmospheric, experimental and different stuff these days.

Glad to hear you drawing similarities to Sinthetix! :) They are massive producers in my eyes.

Do you really mean it should be more extreme, hard, faster, OMGHI2U!!11!!!1!!! ? :)

Ez!
