hmmmm, I'm not getting this.  Is THAT why my tracks always sound like
garbage?

I don't really understand what the goal is here... mostly because I know
very little about music theory.  Do all the samples used in a track have to
have the same pitch?   What if you like how a sample sounds pitched up or
down?   Do you do this to your samples before you use them, or after - right
before you mix down?

Could anybody clue me in here?
