[dnb-prod] a kvestion ov frekwency

Ok… I’m really, really trying hard to get the EQ balance right on my tracks at the moment… I have a really nice pair of monitors, nice soundcard and awesome software, so, apart from having a crappy studio room (acoustically) I have no excuse..   Is there anyone out there who would listen to a tune I’ve done and tell me what they think of the mix?   If there is then I made this tune (2.49mb) last night in a couple of hours…   My thoughts:   The vocal (which is me, recorded on a �5 mic!) is a little too loud. The bass is just a little short of what it should be. The percussion with delay (the delay is wrong, I know…) is a little too loud.   What I want to know:   Does the mix sound balanced? I played my track alongside the Phrantek tune that was just posted (heaven seed) and mine is a lot louder… Probly coz I used a limiter and mastering compressor… but is my tune too loud? Does the bass kick enough?
