No, but you can accomplish something similar using the groups setting
for your me feed in newsfeeds.conf.
e.g.
site me
groups *,!newsgroup.*,@newsgroup.*
...
However if you want to save the bandwidth used by those newsgroups
you'll need to tell the upstream site not to send them as well.
