Hi,
I have had this running on Dnews for a couple of years now. Not sure what
your OS or config is, but mine is NT. So here what you do on NT :
1. Put the line INPATHS TRUE in to Dnews.conf file, and restart Dnews.
2. This creates a file in the histwork area called INPATHS.NEW which will
try to become INPATHS.DAT at midnight, unless INPATHS.DAT already exists, in
which case it just grows and grows. The trick is to move the INPATHS.DAT
away to somewhere else and probably rename it to something unique (eg
INPATHS.DAT.todays-date).
I have a created a batch file and perl script which does the above.
3. Finally run the raw data through the actual "inpaths" program and email
it to the correct place. Unfortunately (for me at least) the inpaths program
does not work on NT, so I FTP the data across to a Linux box and run the
analysis from there !
Regards
Suk
