Anyway it seems you've found your solution, doing what you wanted originally is rather tricky (e.g. storing the cancel but not forwarding it) With that setting dnews will still be forwarding the cancels, instead I suggest you use this setting: post_cancel false This stops local users from posting cancels but allows cancels from your incoming news feed. Or cancel_reject true, which blocks all cancels and doesn't forward them. Oh, some of that wont work with 4.2, infact none of it will work now I check, the best you can do is cancel_users nobody I think that will stop all cancels being acted on. ChrisP.
