That error occurs if you are sent a message that doesn't contain
a message id, this normally only occurs when the sending system
is either completely naffed, or is sending items that have expired and
is therefore actually sending blank messages.
If you'd like you can set in dnews.conf
debug_store 10
Then the last 10 incoming messages will be stored as
store_N.itm
in the spool directory.
Examine those files to see if they are blank or in some way obviously
corrupt, if they are show them to uunet and ask them to reset the
sending feed, probably deleting the queued backlog is a good idea.
Get back to us if you can't resolve it.
