The first thing to check is
         post.rec  (to find the message id of the post thats gone missing)
         dnews.in (to see if dnews really accepted it)

It's possible if you have spam rules turned on dnews could be silently 
rejecting the post e.g. pretending
to accept it, this behaviour can be changed if it's the problem, but you 
can easily check by
looking in dnews.in

Second if you are replicating or for any other reason have dnews configured 
to send the post upstream
first then that might be causing a problem.

Thridly if the group is moderated, then the post will be sent to the 
moderator for approval and would
not be expected to appear unless the moderator approved it.  To check this 
search active.dat for
the group and see if it's marked as a 'y' or an 'm' group.

If that doesn't solve the problem send me your dnews.conf, newsfeeds.conf 
,dnews.log covering
such a problem, and dnews.in
