errors in dnews.log and expire.log

Hello 

I upgraded, few days ago, dnews from 5.4g5 to 5.5b5 and now I found next
line in dnews.log file:
22 02:03:12.412 error:master: could not read expire command

And last line in expire.log is always:
22 02:05:48.381 0:error: Attempting to tell master that we have finished

Can somebody tell me why those lines appeared.
