Hi, you need to increase the system/process/user limits for memory use so
that dnews
can actuallly use more memory. The main limit settings will be in
dnews_start.com
where they are set in the run command, double or tripple the existing settings.
You may also need to increase the system limits for workspace as well I don't
recall precisely.
And as a side note, I recommend using dnews on NT or Linux in preference to
VMS if you have the choice (I've got nothing against VMS, but frankly dnews
does
run better on some other platforms where it is more heavily used).
