Thats odd, I just tried exactly the above, and got this:
D:\dnews>tellnews reload
...
D:\dnews>tellnews matchfeed
200 Hellow nuthin , 5.5b5, S0
Group Marked for delete {rec.arts.erotica}
Group Marked for delete {rec.arts.movies.erotica}
281 Completed
205 closing connection - goodbye!
So it worked as expected, using :
D:\dnews>type newsfeeds.conf
site me
groups *,@*pedophil*,@*erotica*,@not.this.group
site ball
smtp
My guess is you have some minor mistake in your newsfeeds.conf that doesn't
match what you sent?, or it's not the file you think it is, also check it's
owned by 'news' if you are on unix.
You can get back deleted groups with
tellnews undelete "*"
If all else fails send the log of the commands and the complete file again.
