Hi,
Once a message has been expired it has been removed from the spool. The only
way to get it back is to refeed the item in to the server.
Are you sure the messages are being expired?
Use
tellnews diskspace group.name
to ensure the group is using the pile you expect.
If you have changed the groups in your piles, expire rules for the pile they
were placed in will determine when the messages are deleted.
Another possibility is corruption of the indexes, which can be repaied. Try
using
tellnews rebuild_index
and see if the messages re-appear.
