Hi,
I am not totally clear what you are asking so I will do my best =)
Do you want DNews to download the messages prior to accessing the groups
with MS Exchange?
If so, you can do this by using the command
tellnews cached microsoft.* 9999
This will cause DNews to download all specified groups for the specified
number of days, even if the group has not been read by anyone. You may like
to use the pull module (http://www.netwinsite.com/dnews/pull.htm), and/or
add 'suck_requeue true' to speed up the download process.
If you want DNews to download messages on demand, then you need to 'read'
the download progress message. Accessing the group will not trigger the
download as certain clients would cause all groups to download prematurely
by accessing all groups. I am not sure how you have Exchange configured...
is it only reading articles on demand from peer servers? If so, that may be
the cause of the problem you are seeing.
