Hi, If the rebuild didn't bring them back, then it is likely they have actually been deleted. The first thing to check is that the posts are actually going in to the pile you think they should be in. Rules in expire.conf are applied in order, so ensure the group the user claims items are missing from does not match any later rules.
Also, have you changed your piles rules recently? If so, the items will be expired based on the pile they were in when they arrived, not the pile they are in now.
