Hi,

Since your spool and other configuration is stored elsewhere, you can just
backup the configuration file "%windir%\system32\dnews.conf", restore this
on the new system, and change the paths as necessary.

Details on moving DNews to another computer or OS are available at
http://www.netwinsite.com/dnews/faq3.htm#10. You can follow the shorter
instructions for moving to a system with the same OS, and just skip the file
copying part.

As usual, to be on the safe side, backups should be made of important data.

Actually, I'm upgrading from W2k Pro to W2k Server, so a reinstall is
necessary (no upgrade path).

my DNews settings and databases? My DNews folder is on a seperate logical
partition from the OS, so it won't be overwrittin during the installation of
Windows.
