It looks like a large number of articles are being rejected for some reason.
You may want to investigate that. See the dnews.in log file for details on
why the articles are being rejected.

If the articles are being sent via ihave from the remote host, you will want
to get them to configure their server only to send alt.* and not *binaries*.
That would possibly be causing the high reject count.

You can hide empty groups using the command -

        tellnews empty_hide

The groups are not deleted as DNews needs to remember them in order to avoid
adding them again in the future.
