Hi,

This depends what you are using to view the image. I assume DNewsWeb?

It sounds like you have an HTML post with inline images. HTML references
will not be altered by DNewsWeb, and so these references will remain to
their original, now non-existant location relative to the message itself.
You can't send a MIME message through HTTP a single document such as it is
within the posting itself.

When processing the message for display, DNewsWeb will find the MIME
attachments and create links to them, and these links are used at the end of
the document.

I would suggest trying WebNews instead, which is also free for use with
DNews, and see if that handles these messages better.

The use of [evil] HTML for newsgroup postings are generally discouraged.
Only in microsoft.* is it widely considered acceptable because Microsoft
client software (Outlook Express) supports it.

can't recall the details. Is there a way to get images embedded in posts to
show up where they are embedded instead of showing up as a missing image
(even though the image shows up after the text in the post)? TIA
