I have the same problems the last days (possible since i have upgraded to
the last version). If i stop and restart dnews it is ok for a certain time;
-> tellnews stats

Your solutions didn't help for me. Any suggestions? The server is
unreachable for my clients now...
 

Hi, set in dnews.conf
   timing true
Then restart dnews and wait till the load goes up, then send me
   tellnews status
   tellnews stats
   tellnews stats_in
   dnews.conf
  
And a rough description of hardware (cpu, memory, disk) and expected 
load (number of users) etc.
