It would only have been there if you either had the jessie-backports or
unstable/experimental repositories also setup, and in all those cases
there is no guarantee it is stable.

From the perspesctive of debian, the stability on the kernel implies
stability in all the areas, including the modules for the installer.
That is to say: the *.deb packages may be stable, but the installer
isn't ready...
