Since it is a terminal, probably this:

$ man stty | grep -A1 cooked
       cooked same as brkint ignpar istrip icrnl ixon opost isig icanon, eof 
and eol characters to their default values

       -cooked
              same as raw
--
       -raw   same as cooked
