I for one am utterly mystified by your suggestion that the grsecurity/PaX team have been attempting to require 'BSD-style cred fly-by screens' (failure of such a thing to be provided forming all or part of their complaint?). If you could please explain that reference, that would probably help a great deal. It's a headscratcher.
